Slipknot No. 9 Whiskey
BEST CELEBRITY WHISKEY 2019. Slipknot has collaborated with
the award winning Iowa-based Cedar Ridge Distillery to bring the world an
original whiskey rich in Iowa roots, No. 9 Iowa Whiskey Reserve. Made with
homegrown Iowa corn featuring a sweet and spicy flavor and finished with a bold
flavor at a higher 99% proof, Slipknot No. 9 Iowa Whiskey Reserve furthers the
quality of the No. 9 - maturing an extra year to allow more of the flavor to
rock through.
Forbes’ Fred Minnick: “Think cinnamon, clove, butter and
oak. As it hits the palate, it coats it with this goodness, buttery almost,
dripping down the side of the cheeks and warms all throughout. There’s a
comfort here, cornbread-like, with notes of fried apple pie, apricot and
macaroon. It finishes medium to long with a hint of bananas foster.”
SLIPKNOT and Cedar Ridge Distillery - two groups of people
born and raised in Iowa, and committed to quality and hard work. We
collaborated on “No. 9 Whiskey”, which in addition to Iowa corn, gets some
extra spice from its rye content. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Live
life, and always be safe. Cheers, - Shawn “Clown” Crahan, Slipknot founder

Cedar Ridge Distillery Description
The Quint family has farmed and distilled spirits for
generations. In 2005, Jeff Quint founded Cedar Ridge because he believed it was
time for Iowa–the number one corn-producing state in the U.S.–to share its
homegrown Bourbon Whiskey with the world. Cedar Ridge was the first licensed
distillery in Iowa since Prohibition located in Swisher, between Cedar Rapids
and Iowa City. After releasing its first batch of whiskey in 2010, Cedar Ridge
Distillery quickly became a nationally recognized leader in craft spirits,
winning multiple awards such as American Distilling Institute’s “2017 Distiller
of the Year” or “Best American Craft Whiskey” at the 2016 New York World
Spirits Competition.
