Asbach 8 Years Old Brandy 750 ML Hard to find ! As long ago as 1908, Hugo Asbach created the unmistakable Asbach Privatbrand - initially, strictly limited and exclusively for family and friends. Asbach Privatbrand is a composition of the finest single distillates. The youngest of them is at least 8 years old. The distillates are matured in small limousine oak barrels and later on in bigger casks of German oak. Finally, after the marriage of the single distillates, the cuvee is enabled by the secret Asbach maturing and refining process. Asbach Privatbrand owes its unique and incomparably smooth taste to the distillation of selected wines only from the best wine-growing areas. Its full-bodied, mellow taste and distinctive amber color make it a truly unique experience. The finest grapes from the best wine-growing areas guarantee the outstanding quality of the low wines. Nearly all the grapes are grown in the Charente area of France and form the basis of the superb bouquet and unique taste of Asbach. Cooper stills are used to distil the wines twice in accordance with tradition and with special care. A "raw spirit" is created in a first stage and is perfected to produce a "fine spirit" in the second stage of distillation. The elaborate distillation process "on yeast" ensures the high quality of the distillates. The Asbach casks are traditionally made of finest Limousin oak without the use of nails or glue. The casks are all small, they can only hold around 300 litres each, and support the natural interaction between wood and distillate.
