In the 1600s they brought their knowledge to the American colonies, settling finally in Bardstown, Kentucky, the bourbon center of the world where they helped develop some of the best known distilleries. In the 1900s, they decided to build their family named and operated distillery named "The WIllett Distilling Company. Today, the distillery is the home of Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, Ltd, and is still headed by a member of Willett family.
