Chartreuse Yellow Liqueur 80 Proof Pint 375 ML Hard to find ! France Milder and sweeter flavor and aroma than the original Green Charteuse, it uses saffron as a main ingredient along with a secret recipe of other plants to produce a unique flavor. Yellow, faintly tinged with green. The aroma is bright, mild and lime-lollipop sweet, although the flavor is more herbal, with hints of mint and anise, and a pronounced licorice finish and alcohol sting. Thick, syrupy and tongue-coating. Chartreuse is a French liqueur made by the Carthusian Monks since the 1740s. It is composed of distilled alcohol aged with 130 herbal extracts. The liqueur is named after the Monks' Grande Chartreuse monastery, located in the Chartreuse Mountains in the general region of Grenoble in France.
